Learn the basics of screen printing on fabric with members of Portland's favorite non-profit print shop, Flight 64 Studio. In this 4 hour workshop we'll guide you through the entire screen printing process including: design, emulsion, ink mixing and printing. You'll leave the workshop with a better understanding of the medium, 3 custom printed tote bags and a custom printed bandana! All supplies, snacks and sips are included.

Please note there is a small amount of prep work you will need to complete before the day (ie: designing your image). Upon booking we will send out more information.

Join us for an afternoon of block printing with local artist Brie Thompson of Lake Effect Press. With a few simple tools you will learn how to design, carve and print a relief block onto paper. You will leave the workshop with an edition of prints and the knowledge to work on projects at home. All supplies, snacks and sips will be included! This workshop will take place September 28th, 2019, in the beautiful backyard of Parchute Home in Portland, OR.

About Brie: Brie Thompson is a Portland-based printmaker and the owner of Lake Effect Press. She is the Treasurer of the volunteer-run non-profit printmaking studio, Flight 64, and a member of Speedball's Professional Artist Network. Finding inspiration from the diverse landscape of the Pacific Northwest, Thompson examines the environment through hand-carved block prints and screen prints.

The fair is scheduled for Saturday, September 14th, 2019 from 11 am-6 pm. The Belmont Street Fair is the final Portland street fair of the season.
