Join us for an afternoon of block printing with local artist Brie Thompson of Lake Effect Press. With a few simple tools you will learn how to design, carve and print a relief block onto paper. You will leave the workshop with an edition of prints and the knowledge to work on projects at home. All supplies, snacks and sips will be included! This workshop will take place September 28th, 2019, in the beautiful backyard of Parchute Home in Portland, OR.

About Brie: Brie Thompson is a Portland-based printmaker and the owner of Lake Effect Press. She is the Treasurer of the volunteer-run non-profit printmaking studio, Flight 64, and a member of Speedball's Professional Artist Network. Finding inspiration from the diverse landscape of the Pacific Northwest, Thompson examines the environment through hand-carved block prints and screen prints.
