Phillip Stone is the founder and designer of Southpaw Boarding Co. Each board is hand-built in his Portland, OR studio. Seeking creative innovation in every model, Southpaw uses a minimalist design approach and thoughtfully selected woods to transform each skateboard into art.

For our collaboration we choose the Vintage Cruiser, a hearty throwback classic. Hand-built from sturdy Maple, this beast is made to carve, shred and cruise. For the artwork we selected one of my most treasured prints, The Golden Hour. This image was hand-carved from a 10x20” piece of mounted linoleum and redesigned specifically for this project. The image is inspired by one of my favorite hikes in the Columbia River Gorge.
