Hissing Fauna was carved from 3 separate blocks of linoleum. Each block is inked with a different color and registered on a jig to align the colors. The image is inspired by my first hike up Hamilton Mountain on the WA side of the Columbia River Gorge. The further we hiked up the mountain the more snakes we saw sun bathing on the path amongst the ferns.
